Look-Alike Daylilies

With the count in the daylily universe now over 70,000, it's not surprising to find look-alike cultivars. They are, in fact, quite common. Above and below are samplings of doppelgängers that encompass not even the tip of the iceberg, but will give you a taste of what's out there. In a perfect world, look-alikes would all be grouped together, and we could chose for our gardens or our hybridizing programs those with the best qualities.

Trivia question: There are many modern daylilies in various shades of red with a yellow star pattern. In what year was the daylily 'Lillian' (pictured below) registered?
